Individual Accounts Account CreationĪdministrators can control whether existing individual accounts are checked against and suggested as potential matches when individuals are creating their account in Community Hub. Duplicate Checking in Community HubĪdministrators can set up duplicate checking for individual accounts and company accounts in Community Hub and customize what fields are checked against and displayed throughout the process. Duplicate Checking in Staff ViewĪdministrators can use duplicate rules to detect and display duplicate accounts inStaff View. staff can generate reports of duplicate accounts and staff with permission can merge duplicates. If Nimble AMS was installed in your org prior to the Summer '18 release, or if you want custom matching logic, you can create your own Configure Matching and Duplicate Account Rules.
In orgs where Nimble AMS was installed after the Summer '18 release, you can use the new Nimble AMS Account Duplicate Rule and Nimble AMS Person Account Duplicate Rule duplicate rules to manage duplicates. It includes a matching rule(s), which defines how accounts are compared to identify possible duplicates. A duplicate rule tells Salesforce what action to take when duplicate accounts are identified. Duplicate Rules and Matching Rulesĭuplicate Management in Salesforce is based on two kinds of rules: a duplicate rule and a matching rule. You can use Salesforce Duplicate Management throughout Staff View and Community Hub to control whether and when your staff and constituents can create duplicate accounts, customize the logic used to identify duplicates and the user interface for handling them, and create reports on duplicates that users save.
